Pre-Publish Video Checklist
A final review protects the viewer experience and makes it easier to learn from each publish. Run this checklist after the edit is locked and before you schedule or post the video.
Check the promise and packaging
The title, cover image, and opening should describe the same video.
- Does the title describe the actual topic without unsupported superlatives?
- Is the cover readable at a small size and consistent with the title?
- Does the opening begin the topic promised by the title?
Check the viewer path
Review the viewing experience on a phone-sized screen.
- Confirm captions are accurate, timed, and easy to read.
- Test every destination link and remove tracking you do not need.
- Keep one clear next step instead of competing calls to action.
Check accuracy and rights
Confirm names, dates, numbers, and credits before publishing.
- Verify factual claims against your original source or notes.
- Add required attribution or disclosures where relevant.
- Use only media, music, and assets you created, licensed, or may use.
